Great location with good facilities and food but rooms and restaurants need a good facelift!

location and grounds were excellent. Choice and quality of food always good. Cleaners were very good and room always cleaned well.

preferred club suite had a great location however furnishings dated and tired. The hotel needs refurbishment to gain 5star status including air conditioning

Amazing & will definitely be revisiting.

I loved the location, the buffet breakfast & the view was spectacular especially from our room. One constructive feedback would be that I do feel that the food at the buffet should be covered. I loved the garden, the variation of pools and proximity to the beach.

That there was no sign for us to hang on the door to inform staff to clean.

A tranquil week in the late summer sun

The room was well appointed in every way- spacious and tasteful with a large double bed. I won’t itemise the facilities but everything worked efficiently and the shower was highly effective and always hot. The small outside area had a table with two chairs and a hot tub. This was a feature of the seven rooms in this location. We very much enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the World Café which offered great variety and excellent quality. Attentive staff kept tables cleared and were always at hand to assist and welcomed guests in a variety of languages. As the weather was still quite mild it was wonderful to be able to start the day at a table on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. I’m not sure of the occupancy rate when we stayed but it was always possible to find peace and quiet as there were numerous outdoor seating and sunbathing areas in addition to those adjacent to the pool. On a grey, damp morning I snuggled into a comfortable sofa in the Piano Bar to read and daydream and visited the adjacent library which was a intimate space.

Whilst we understood the hotel’s need to recognise members of Secrets loyalty scheme and differentiate Club level, it was a shame to hear some guests referred to as “preferred” which almost felt as through the rest of us were less deserving. I am a World of Hyatt member but did not seek any special treatment.

fantastic location , great base for what we wanted.

Loved the location overlooking the beach. It was quiet. Room was lovely shame the front of the hotel is in a high street full of tacky sovenier shops and the like. but t built back in 1955 and the high street wasn't there then.

The attempt at english breakfast is poor. food was always luke warm and the bacon well it wasn't proper bacon. They never could give me boiling water for my tea bags so never had a decent cuppa.

Enjoyable, relaxing but a little overpriced

Spacious and peaceful

Breakfasts good but bar / restaurant food not great. A five star hotel should aspire to something better than frozen calamari, tinned tuna and chicken slices. Expensive too!

Great hotel but staff at such a high class hotel should learn to smile and be polite !

Love the hotel and location . But over priced and some staff around the pool and restaurant area should not be working in such a beautiful hotel . Rude and not friendly at all ! Unfortunately when you pay such a high price for just 4 nights stay you expect the best service , which we didn’t get . We stayed in the room with an outside hot tub , which isn’t a hot tub , it Was empty on arrival and during our stay . It’s just a bath outside ! Not sure why the hotel charge more for this room .

The pool and restaurant staff . Hot tub not useable outside as it was dirty from the leaves and outside dirt . Wasn’t filled or ready to use . The prices are over inflated and extremely high for what you get . Dinner was €59 each if you wanted to dine in there !

A very nice hotel needing housekeeping improvements

The overwhelming peace was astonishing and very, very welcome. Given the close proximity to the public beach (via the beautiful hotel gardens and through a secure, gated entrance) and the large number of people enjoying the beautiful bay, the clear blue sea snd of course the sunshine, it was indeed a surprise to us how quiet it was. Despite my reservations about the surrounding area (in terms of the pay off between proximity to the sea and therefore high level of tourism), it really was a very enjoyable and relaxing break. The surrounding shops are not intrusive, the Gelateria opposite the hotel is superb and there is an overwhelming sense of safety and friendliness in Peguera. The level of service and attentiveness by staff at the hotel, especially the Concierge was exceptional. One person in particular needs a very special mention and that is PACO, THE MAÎTRE D at the Seaside Grill. He is simply the finest Maître D we have ever encountered……attentive, intuitive, friendly yet always retaining the highest level of professionalism. The food here is superb, certainly Michelin * quality but at very affordable prices.

This is categorised as a 5* hotel. It is difficult to compare star ratings of hotels between different countries but in UK terms at least, I am not sure it justifies the 5* rating overall. Many aspects of the hotel are very good snd I can see why people return. We stayed in a junior suite with ground floor terrace in the ‘tower’ and in my view was ideally located. However, what lets this hotel down is housekeeping and general maintenance. Bed linen very clean as it the room but towels, whilst freshly laundered are showing signs of wear and could do with replacing. We had Room 102. We suffered badly with leaking air conditioning units which left us with 2 nights of water persistently dripping on the floor at the foot of the bed necessitating our towels to be used to prevent flooding. Whilst very clean, the shower unit is in desperate need of repair and decoration snd door seals replacing to prevent further flooding in the bathroom. There are 2 resident restaurants at the hotel which are open for dinner in the evenings - The Seaside Grill which is exceptional and Gohan which requires a lot of work. It lacks any atmosphere, it feels like you are eating in a storeroom and the menu needs greatly enhancing. The menu effectively offers just 3 main dishes - rice and noodles. You enter the ‘store room’ line restaurant expecting teppanyaki but what appears to be plates for cooking are not used snd the food is cooked away from guests. It is completely soulless and overpriced. Such a shame because with a little imagination, a far more extensive menu and a great big dose of atmosphere, it could be a very interactive and enjoyable dining experience.

We had a lovely stay, just wasnt for us no negative feedback we still had a lovely time.

Room was lovely and spacious bed was comfy and clean, Breakfast was OK normal spanish food. Location was perfect you have got everything around you if you require a bit more life. Staff were pleasant and very helpful

Incredibly expensive £30 for 2 gin and tonics, Mini bar was ridiculously expensive, No mirrors in the bedroom area to get ready 1 mirror in the bathroom which was a pain to try and get ready, could do with a bit of ambiance around the hotel in the day, not really for young couples. & lots of mosquitos

We really enjoyed our stay as the location is excellent - the service just was not quite 5*

The location being right beside the beach is excellent. The pool and showers between pool and sea was brilliant. Entertainment each evening was quite good. The preferred lounge albeit beside reception was a decent perk. We enjoyed the barby on Tuesdays and the free boat trip on Thursdays. Very good breakfast options - especially the choice of eggs / omelettes / pancakes made fresh each day and broad range of fruit.

Not quite 5 star and tt is a little overpriced. The staff are not as accommodating as I would expect given it claims to be 5 star. Most restaurants around the area are effectively beach-style food but acceptable.

Relaxing stay

Room was very big and comfortable. The location of the hotel was very good. A lot of restaurants and shops are very close. Very relaxing and quite stay.

Taxi situation in Calvia and Palma is difficult, not a lot of taxis are available. The sunbeds around the pool are not the most comfortable ones.
